on a happier note.... 2. In Australia there are 8 sheep for every person! Today marks 28 days till I depart the emerald isle to go cycle and tell the world about leprechauns and sheep and all the craic here! so to count it down I will be posting random facts about each of the 28 countries I hope to visit (There are actually 30 but I've only thought of doing this today so hard luck Macedonia and Kosovo!)
To start us of here's 2 random ones on New Zealand... 1. The kea, a bird native to NZ, is known for pulling windscreen wipers off cars and eating the strips of rubber from windows. 2. There are no land snakes, native or introduced, in NZ, so being Irish I should fit right in yeah??? Oh hold on isn't Australia tomorrow?! |
